My boring ghetto-fab LS400
I never saw it necessary to have a "build thread" since I didnt really think I was going to do much to my car, but I guess I was wrong...... Leave it to me to never leave anything alone!
So far. I have sanded, and painted the stock rims in gunmetal, and put ebay JP center caps. Yes yes, ebay, I dont care about overpaying for crap.
All new rotors and raybestos pads all around. About to redo the pads soon with newer ones.
Full tune up, just switched to Rotella T6 with the FL-400S filter.
Blocked off my EGR, cut up some plates, cut off the ends of the tube, welded the tubes shut, gaskets, plates, then welded tube ends bolted back on. Looks stock and all that. I have 50 of the resistors for the engine, so if you need one PLEASE TAKE ONE! LOL
from the exhaust manifolds back I have completely rebuilt all the exhaust. Went from 2.25" to 2.5", ditched the y-pipes and all that junk, have a single X pipe, full duals, and at the very rear I have two turn down pieces made that dump next to the mudflaps, or I can unbolt them and bolt on the rear factory mufflers for that stock look.
Next im doing the intake mod, I am buying suspension tomorrow from another member here, radiator and all that will be done this weekend.
Small video of my cars exhaust... I watch this video when im not driving it... I love my car a LITTTLLE too much..

Couple updates. Slapped a computer in it. custom intake tube. Injectors. Weight strip. Few odds and ends. Going to be tearing into it to retime it soon. After that I will get some more videos.
Hopefully going to be getting a professional tune after the timing belt job since I run so much timing I will have to back it all off and do the tbelt so I can have it set properly and then readd all my timing back in

Indeed. Zeta 3.2 being built for it from a diesel turbo shop. He is going to bump up the sizes and have it good for 800 crank hp so hoping to put me somewhere in the 600-680whp range.
Electric fan conversion was done. HUGE weight strip - weighed at 3500lbs and will br dropping more weight when the VW is back up and running.

Well the turbo is waiting to go on, but I have plenty of room under my hood lol its going to go right behid the radiator and dump right out the hood. Im going to be removing this 15" fan and put two smaller fans on the other side of the radiator and push the radiator forward a little since the condensor and everything is all gone.
