'02 GS430 Help: I need to replace the 3uz-fe
Alright, I got caught up in some flood water, and hydro locked my engine. So I poured some Marvel Mystery Oil into my cylinder's and was able to rotate the Engine by hand, but wasn't long before a Piston Rod poked a hole in my Oil Pan.
So I plan to purchase a replacement Engine from Aliga, a well known part vendor here in the world of Club Lexus. That being said, I have my heart set on doing the work MYSELF! But I can not find a single sentence anywhere online relating to the matter. I do not want to be directed to a Dealership, or any Auto Repair Shop, so any insight on the subject would be greatly appreciated!
I plan to drop the Coolant and possibly the Power Steering Fluid tomorrow. I was also told i should drain the Transmission Fluid, but I am not sure if that would be necessary since I don't need to replace the Transmission and plan on leaving it in the car during the process.
I have pulled the Intake Manifold, and have had the Starter tested at my local part's house, and picked up an Engine Hoist while I was there. Other than that, I would like to be able to have something to read and follow before I go and start pulling stuff apart.
Again, any help I am able to get with any information on what to do first would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I would possibly be able to have a friend from a shop print me out a step by step sheet off of AllData, but what fun would that be?
