1999 2JZGTE VVTi Manual Single Turbo Project Started
My dream over the last 12 years is to build a turbo charger 2JZ engine by myself instead of purchasing it from someone else. A family with two kids and a busy life so I told myself let start the project tomorrow over the past twelve years. Finally, last week I decided to pull the engine out so I don’t have to wait until tomorrow . I started to collect parts summer of last year and continue to look for more parts. My experiences about cars are: Changing oil, spark plug, valve covers gasket, suspension, and brake pads or discs.

I decided to go with 92 W58 for testing and cut the tunnel instead of replacing it with 6 speed tunnel. I might swap it out with a low miles(89K) R154 sometime next year.
The whole process took about 5 minutes. Jigsaw does the trick.
Tial 44mm wastegate was advertise 14.5psi but the spring color is for 8.5psi
