im newish to the forum but was wondering if there is anyone doing a build in the bay area I want to learn a little more about these motors . mostly the 2jz I have a sc300 I take classes for automotive but watching or seeing a build would be bit more interesting . I don't mean no problems just want to know alittle more to try to start doing trans/engine swaps. thanks my name is travis

I am in the bay area and currently building an sc300 for drifting. you can go through my build thread and ask any questions for info and ideas. ive got only a small fraction of the toyota knowledge that some members have. you can learning mostly everything you need on this forum and a couple others. read through some build threads, pick out what swap you think is the best for you, then research it a ton. my friend always jokes that he knows how to swap several different motors inside an out and what all the possible hiccups could be and he owns neither the car nor the motor.

just research a bunch and you can find all the info you need
