95 SC400 rebuild madness input WANTED =)
HI Guys i got a 95 sc400 that im in the process of doing a motor swap and i would love input on removing the old engine and maintenece that should be taken care of while the donor motor is outta the car

Here is were i am at ....just removed the radiator ....drained the fluids ....purged the ac system....am planning on replacing the front main seal checked the timeing belt and looked to be in very nice shape....dont just look comment....i also plan to do the ls bbc redo the control arm bushings ...shim or put a kit on the tranny...not sure yet

Im gonna drain the trans fluid today,...drain out the 6 month old gas XP
yes she has been sitting work has been getting in the way does anyone know if i absolutley need a tilt to pull out the motor and drivetrain out

Use proper English man. JK.... What motor are you replacing it with, or are you using another 1UZFE? Always do the required maintenance while the motor is out. Its easier and better for you in the long run.

You might as well get the PITA stuff out of the way now, so you don't have to tackle them at a later point - belts, water pump, starter, carbon cleaning the intake manifold and egr system, replacing gaskets, replace the caps, rotors, distributor o-rings and ignition coils(plus your requisite plugs, wires). Replacing your engine and tranny mounts wouldn't be a bad idea either. You'll thank yourself later on with a low maintenance trouble-free engine.

Just bought caps, rotors ,shift kit ,front crank seal....i already installed ngk platinums....the donor is a 1uzfe with 60 k !....checked the timming belt and it seemed to be amazing shape.....maybe gonna change the pan gaskets and cam seals....
