Project Alexus Texas: From Zero to Porno
Well this is the beginning of a long journey but I know it will pay off in the end. (I hope!) I've decided to start a build thread instead of creating multiple posts on the main forum...only if I have to. The beginning of my journey started with my previous threads and I'll continue my build from there.

This was how I got her when I first purchased her. She looked pretty beat up but I saw the star in her. The car was worked on previously so another man's trash is now my jewel!

Coilovers were shot so after making a post on my JIC's, I decided on a rebuild.

This nasty grind was caused by left LBJ on the brinks of failing. The LBJ was pushing out further towards the brake shield which caused the grinding. Maintenance was more important than glamoring her up.
From there the story continues onto the next episode...

Maintenance
I completed these tasks a couple of weeks ago but I never had time to post the pics. FYI, I'm not a mechanic...more like a DIY'er. With the resources on this forum and the multiple hours of searching and reading, the knowledge I gained helped me out with completing the maintenance on my car. Thanks to everyone for their posts and guides.
Tasks:
1. LBJ's
2. Outer and Inner Tie Rods
3. Steering Rack Bushings
4. Caster Arms
5. Replace JIC's w/ OEM struts and springs
6. Fix wheels and slap on the ugly OEM 16's
This is a shot of my old caster arm vs. my new caster arm. Thanks to Sewell for the hookup.
Steering Rack Bushings...out with the old and in with the new.
Shot of the new LBJ, outer and inner tie rod.
JIC's are dirty! Going to ship them out to be rebuilt.
Shots of my wheels that are going to be fixed and powdercoated.
Damn...this is how she looks now. She needs major plastic surgery.
The next task is a skid plate and fixing the oil leaks on this car.

I've thought of similar colors and I like those colors too but honestly, I think those colors are played out. I see so many black and gunmetal wheels out and about. I was thinking of something different....I might even do 'em in pink. LOL.
