figured id post up my moneypit/garage ornament. havnt driven it in like 9 months.....geez.
heres how it looked when i got it. i swapped it straight up for an old 1989 ford econovan haha.
1jz-gte, r154 conversion, some really ****ty wiring and mods done for good measure too.
got rid of the terrible chineese wheel and put in a nardi deep corn wheel
and a recaro for good measure
put it on some te37's
did sandwich mount intercooler
did some bodywork
put some red stuff on it
the brakes (as everyone knows) are pathetic, so i did a brake conversion using r34 gt-t skyline brakes. surprisingly easy. i also locked the diff at the same time too.
late model tails that i scored off yahoo japan for like $80nzd
some greddy white face SMI gauges in carbon panel
genuine origin roof wing

now we start to get serious
vertex, new front te37's (18" instead of 17") and repainted in bronze
engine back, new rings, bearings, frost plugs and arp bolts
scored some ganadors. they are for an s15, but i will make them work.
re-assembled head with new stem seals and also lapped the valves in
slapped it on
and yea....thats about it for now. its about to be sent to a mates to get the wiring absolutley stripped. basicly to run lights and a sterio, and windows haha. not very luxury any more. it will alnterior, v-mount intercooler setup. it will only be making about 300kw, but thats more than enough. will be very tourqey, low-down power...in theory. still yet to tub the engine bay (simalar to ueno's)
will also have custom intake and exhaust manifolds made up. not going to use that ****ty chineese plenum.
as you can probably tell, i'm somewhat of a japaneese parts fanboy, haha
tell me whatchu guys think (even if you think i've ruined it!)

And boy, You've sure done some work to that thing.
If your ever in Palmy, hit me up. I wanna see this thing in person.
Also, where did you get the kit from? LuxurySports? whats the fitment like?

cheers guys. the coil setup the car came with was some mitsubishi evo coils. i removed them and used some factory coils that i re-wired back into it. i'm going to be re-using them later on though. as i will be running wasted spark with the link ecu. they wont be mounted there though. they will probably be mounted behind the firewall.
cant remember where i got the kit from. i think it was luxury sports. it was only like 500 bucks or so. fits well for the price. i'm going to have to re-join the rear bumper together though. i cut the lower half off it as i assumed i could just use it like a lip on the factory rear bar as the glass one didnt fit the tail lights quite right...yeah...different shapes haha. wont be too much of a hassle to fix though. also, i'm a fair way away from palmy haha. im in chch. and yes i am aware the kit will last about 30 seconds on chch roads at this height. i'm not fussed though haha.

I learned a few things from this thread. I didnt know those BBK brakes would actually fit on the car, and second, I have never seen the FMIC mounted in that position.. Overall nice progress. I almost like the the way car looked in the first few pictures. Not a bad start, and I am also subscribed to the fininshing up on her. Why the change from the 1JZ to the 2JZ? Finally give out on you or loss of compression?

hey mate, the nissan brakes are not a direct bolt on. some customisation to brackets was required.
i like the sandwich mounted intercooler. gives it that bit more protection from things. plus im not a fan of highly visible front mounts.
i upgraded to a 1.5jz because i simply had it lying around, and the extra capacity should help it get onto boost nice and low down.
