Default Project (90 ls400) - will it fit

As said my 1990 l400
160k miles.

This car had been needing some major tlc lately.

Recently just changed caps plugs wires. They were terrible i Couldn't believe it. Very brittle everything. wires literally fell apart changing them.

Seafoamed the engine.
Changed to synthetic oil (just using the Wall mart brand for now). Gonna change it again in a couple thousand miles. Heard first time changers have too change the oil soon due to the conventional oil previouslly??? is this true?

Tie Rods were also shot. Tires wobbled insane in the front. thought i was going to die
Replaced these in the garage. Had too use a grinder to take em off. tie rod Separator and hammer wasn't working. New joints and boots and stuff as well.

Got the front end alignment done today as well. driver left was + 3.06. LOL. Car wanted too go left as soon as i Iet go of the wheel.

Got new tires being put on
kmc novas 18x9 35 mm offset. Gonna try a 245/40 tire but its gonna be hella close the the spindle..

Ill post pictures in a bit

Also equipped with pioneer app radio 2 :-)

Runs fantastic now!!
Way more ideas to come.

Welcome to your first intro post to the site. Did you proof read it before you posted? My brain hurts after reading it...

Anyways, good to hear the car is running better and your giving it some attention.

Post up some pics of the car, everyone likes pics!

sitting with the truck.

while waiting at discount tire. a before picture if u may i guess.

the wheels going on. KMC novas (replicas made by american racing) 18x9 35mm offset.

terrible picture inside but all i got so far. houses a pioneer APP radio2. works great with my droid razr. like a computer in the car. used a double din kit from ebay rather than the expensive beats one or w.e that was $200.00 + Any questions on this just ask.

changed plugs, wires, caps, fuel filter, cleaned out EGR filter, Air filter replaced, coolant system flushed, Changed to Synthetic oil. replaced all tie rods. Detailed engine bay. I have a list of the plugs and wires i used some where. got em from ebay. ill post later

this is the cap on the rims. i dont like it. i either want the KMC one or if i can find a center cap with The L logo for lexus that'd be awesome. any input on this would be awesome.

tires wrapped. 245-40-18

doesnt seem that close due to the angle but the tire was hella close to the spindle arm by maybe 5 mm.

worst thing ever also,
no daytime picture of the car yet
hope this can hold you over

i like my rims. i wish they were offset and fit a little better but for now they are growing on me.

having problems alreay though : (

my cats are bad. both glowing red hot. any input on why they would fail so fast after my tune ups and stuff?
was thinking of re doing the exhaust anyways i want a sleeper exhaust. quiet when cruising but aggressive when i get on it.

any suggestions for new cats? so i dont have to pay an arm and a leg?

PROBLEM SOULUTION:

Spark plug wire from drive side coil grounding out.

oh also been running into issues with is starting sometimes.

ill turn the key to on everything comes on fine. but when i go to start all i hear is a click then everything is shut off. lost power. like the battery is dead. have to disconnect the battery then reconnect and try again till it starts. could this be tied into my cat problem??

used to working on chevy's they are a bit easier and straight forward.

PROBLEM SOULTION:
Changed out battery terminal posts.

Had that happen to me last week. Would wiggle the positive battery cable and it'd start right up. Change out the terminals and its been fine since. Positive terminal was like 4 bucks at advance auto parts.

They are better than the first pair of rims though.
Still feeling these kmcs out though
And I dont think I want bigger than 18s cuz I eventually Wanna use the smaller wheels too my advantage when dropping the car.

Still kinda clue less about my cats. Maybe an o2 sensor?
Or I'm reading about or capacitors in the computer.
Guidance PLZ?

The starter though shouldn't cause the whole car to just shut off completely. Like no battery is connected.
Anyways I found out my culprit for my current issue. I was suspecting ignition after some reading. Checked my driver side coil and it seemed I got it snagged between the plastic cover and the valve covers. Was grounding out. Spilt open wire. Took fifteen minutes just replaced it runs great again.

So now the resenator in the exhaust is crushed. Must have bottomed out.
Any ideas for an aggressive sound. Sleeper like though for exhaust.

Also I heard the was a mod you can do in the trunk to disable the tail light out warning in the dash.
I'm replacing all lights to LEDs.
Question though I want too avoid the fast flash issue. Do the ls400s do that or do they only have the indicator in the dash. My blazer had the fast blink issue and fixed it by substituting the flasher with a no load Flasher

Now my trac light comes on occasionally.
Also my oil light at higher speeds but goes off eventually. Its the low oil light. Any reasons for this. It has plenty of oil. Only 600 miles since the change.
I'm about to do some research
