Haven't posted in awhile so here's a small update. In preparation for dyno tune, I keep starting the car and letting it idle to find any leaks or anything that needs to be buttoned up. For the last couple days the damn turbo is leaking oil and making the car smoke. Not much as it did the first time but enough that you can tell. We've rebuilt this turbo twice already and cant get it to stop leaking oil. So we decided to make a custom s362 turbo using the same turbine housing from this turbo but a s362 frame. This way it will mount under the NA intake manifold with no issue. But not to mention spool will be awesome. Its going to take a lot of machine work but it will be great in the end. Ill post pics when he gets started on the custom turbo build.

Ohh god again?

LOL that's crazy man!

I've got 13k miles on my BW i am loving it , so far so good and i plan to get atleast 50k miles out of it , since i drive my car everyday.

S362 is a great Turbo spools fast and still make 700whp on C16 or E85.

yea its crazy and we have no idea why it could be leaking.. went through it least 4 times and even change out the bearing housing (the middle parts of the turbo) So we opted for a custom built turbo utilizing the same exhaust housing currently there so I wouldn't have to go FFIM if I used the BW housing.

BUT besides that... I'm currently going through my built motor which ill make a thread for when I get a little further with it. forged pistons fresh ported head, gsc2, gt4207 etc just to name a few things. Shooting for 850rwhp

Just to keep this thread alive and while I'm awaiting for the new turbo, I started working on the suspension.

Stripped and cleaned some upper control arms than powder coated them red to match everything else. I do all my powder coating my self made my own oven and got a gun. Done a few dozen jobs on the side and its super easy and much better than rattle can paint!

These will also get some beefer hiem joints ends if I can find the right ones.

How much did it cost to make your oven? or what you have in your setup to powdercoat.

I made the 220v oven completely from scratch and cost me close to 1800 because I did a "do it right the first time" type of build. the gun is another 600. powder coating is pretty easy but its not hard to mess something up and when you do, you basically have to start from scratch all over again sense the parts have to be free of paint, grease or what ever. I got a hang of it after doing a few of my own things but its still a ***** to get right. Just like any other paint job, prep work is key, specially for powdering coating because you want to do it right the first time or else you'll have a blast taking it off lol

these are the infamous TC sprightliness. Not many good reviews on them but I thinks its just user install error and not properly installing the heim joint spacers the right way.

NOW the best part, I got me a sweet turbo S366 frame with machined out housings and pressed in inserts to fit a 74mm turbine housing YES a 74MM wheel and a 71mm compressor wheel. Sense this turbo can get me up into some real good power; a few things are going to have to change to play it safe! TT HG and ARP studs are going in, in the next few weeks. Also going to swap in my R154 so I don’t blow up the w58!

Suspension is currently getting put on and I’m waiting for some pads for the LS400 calipers and I'm currently on the lookout for some sway bars. TRD is what I'm thinking if this other deal doesn't come through.

Sense this turbo has a race cover; the rad hose gets in the way for the IC pipe. So I did a 10min swap for the water neck that coasted me only 15 bucks (cost for a new rad hose). Usually you have to get the stupid adapter plate thing that will point it down but in all reality, you just need to grind down a nub that’s on one of the sides and flip it around and it points down Than simply go to your auto parts store and look for a hose that only has a 90* bend in it and you’re done!
