Made a bit more progress yesterday, kinda random but started to get the "small stuff" cleaned up, and got started on the trunk.
Got the front windshield area cleaned up and down to metal for the most part.
Got the door jambs cleaned up as well as the door sills
And something about going from this.....
To this...
And finally this.... it just makes me super happy LOL. something something progress something something.
And will get the trunk finished and put back together tomorrow, I should have all day to work on it.
Thanks for all the kind words guys, glad I started this thread too, keeps me motivated to keep on rocking!
Thanks,
Rick

Bumpers getting some love.

Rick

Sorry been so slow to update, it's hard to see any real progress when you work on all the tiny things..
Ordered these awhile ago and they finally showed up. BattleVersion Subframe Bushings, and new shift boot.
This was my biggest Stress and I am finally happy with it..
More work on the filler, I must have re-done these 2-3 times LOL, but I am getting better for sure
Now I just need to finish smoothing out the filler, remove the doors, sand behind them and this ****er is ready for primer!!!! WOOOOOOOO!!! I am literally so stoked to be this close, I can't believe how much damn work I have put into this thing lol.

Thanks guys! Engine swap may not be for a bit, depends on how quickly I can get it back on the road, for now I am thinking the swap might be a winter project, but who knows, sometimes I just get a wild hair and just go for it...kinda like what I am doing with the body lol. Just so everyone knows, I in no way intended for it to go this far, I was planning on getting the roof fixed and then just doing a quick paint job on the roof alone, but yeah one thing led to the next and I'm ***** deep in it haha.
I will try to get some more pics of the sunroof, but I think it looks like **** underneath, but that's okay, it should be covered once the car is all back together. And I used a spare sunroof glass as the "mold" which is not perfect of course, hence the body filler to smooth it out.
Made a bit more progress today, and I am exhausted..
Thanks,
Rick

Oh god... now I am really getting nervous. Yesterday I decided to not work on my car, went to my local paint store and walked out with this.
Decided on 50751 thanks to you guys
Now just need to smooth out the body filler on a few panels, but I am thinking the car will be ready today or tomorrow. I am scared beyond anything else and not really sure why, I think it because my months of hard work is coming to a point. Better not **** it up!!
