DoomLight's 1992 SC300 1JZ Swap & Build Thread

man i tell ya. its a lot of work.
i got the FIC 1100's soldered in to the harness. i ordered the driftmotion 2jz resistor box eliminator plug. also tapped a hole inside my intake manifold to install the Manifold Temp sensor.
there was a blue VSV sensor under the 1jz manifold. i decided to redo the wires in the harness to control VVTi. i extended the wires to it. then i will assign the ecu wires to the right spot on the AEM.
sorry not many pics this update. i work so much i hardly have time to snap pics.
the few things i have left are to remake my 1jz downpipe to work with a 2jz one.
redo my fuel system. i am switching to a dual feed rail. and i think i will switch to a helper fuel pump so i can retain my intank setup reliability and feed my Inline pump.

update.
i redid my fuel lines. 8an from front to back, new 100 micron filter after the pump, and a 40 micro filter before the pump.
i ran a suction tube thru the factory fuel pump cover. down thru the body and to my inline fuel pump.
i ran the HPF steel braided hose to a Y splitter to feel the dual feed FIC rail i installed.
-------------
then yesterday i finally got it to the dyno.
made 500.65hp on not the best quality of pump gas 93 octane.
--------------
next on my list is a flex fuel sensor so i can run e85 and make around 650hp

Something is wrong with your setup ..Boost leak?
2jz on 66-67mm turbo makes 500hp all day 17-19psi, why did you have to run 25psi to make 500hp?
Stock 1jz makes 475 at 18psi..Something is not right imo.
Congrats on getting it back on the road.
