it is nice , right ? . Almost similar to Garnet Pearl and Barcelona Red but is more metallic and vibrant and has a different hue depending on how much sun light is shined on her.
Went around yesterday looking for cars with that color just to see the color at different times of the day and on different cars
thanks Mike .. so I figure costs will be same as getting a Candy Apple Red paint job ?

Gerrb,
I couldn't help but notice the rear fender work on these two cars:

Have you tried grinding the fenders? I had great success grinding to fit 28" Hoosiers and it still allows me to attach the black fender lip guard when running street tires: http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...=1#post9129067
Just a thought...

Scott - no i haven't. You are right .
For the Old Man Tan - the former owner just folded / rolled the lip . I am planning to do as you say .. grind or cut the lip as what had been done by the former owner of the Black Pearl. Tried those on the black pearl and looked good. Current tires on there now are at 295/50r16. They fit nicely just by grinding or cutting that inner lip instead of rolling. It actually looks better.
here they are when I tried them on the Black Pearl with cut / grinded lip ...
For Red Mamba Two as pictured, unfortunately , the fenders had to be pulled and fenders rolled to fit those wheels and tires. I would need to do more work on them to make them look better . The wheels have a Mustang offset and the tires are 305 . In fact the camber settings on that car before I got it, and still is till I do something about, is bad .. you straighten those wheels / tires vertically , they will be out that fender . I know I need to do a better job on those fenders when I have time before even getting a paint job. I want that car to look really good once painted.

Time to get serious with Black Pearl. I know that being a 1 of 120 and with a 2jzgte VVTi 6speed , it is already rare even if it only runs at stock power right now. Being my trophy SC , time to bring it to a level that it can sit beside any MKIV and be able to hold it's own.
To start with , I will be working on its fuel system in the coming days to be able to provide the fuel needed to get into the 1500rwhp on a 3.4l engine. I will install one of the best if not the best fuel system for boosted cars. Up to 350rwhp , The first Denso Pump will be running , from 350-750rwhp , the second and third Denso Pumps will run and above that power or on kill mode , the Weldon 2345a pump goes online. This fuel setup will be really over kill but got nothing to loose by having a lot of fuel . Just got to set them up properly , turning fuel pumps on only when necessary so the fuel isn't heated up uselessly.
It will have dual fuel rails with 12 injectors on the Race version Hypertune Intake Manifold . One set of 1000cc for cruising and will be used up to 600rwhp. Then another 2433cc will join the 1000cc above 600rwhp or kill mode. It will have direct port nitrous progressively controlled for either turbo spool or more power , so a nozzle will be on every runner of the the Hypertune Manifold.
* Weldon Fuel Regulator
* Weldon 2345a Fuel Pump with Kennel Boost-a-Pump to maintain its voltage in higher boosts
* Weldon -12an pre Filter
* Weldon -12an post Filter
* Weldon 14000 Fuel Pump Controller
* Triple Denso Pumps (probably two will be enough ... on kill mode , will just activate the big pump)
* Magna Fuel Fuel manifold
* NX Direct Port Nitrous ( NX Nitrous & Fuel Solenoids, NX Progressive Controller , NX Piranha Nozzles, NX 10lbs Nitrous Bottle )
* NX Ntercooler System ( NX 10lbs Nitrous Bottle, NX Nitrous Loop with NX Solenoid )
* AEM Peak and Hold Injector Driver
* -12 an Fuel Rails
* Siemens 2433cc Injectors
* Siemens 1000cc Injectors
* Hypertune Dual Rail Race Intake Manifold
* Hypertune 102mm Throttle Body
* Flex Fuel Sensor
* Assorted PTFE Braided Stainless Steel fuel lines for E85 and assorted sizes of fittings
* -12an fuel line from tank to front
* -10an on each end of both Fuel Rail
* - 8an return from each rail to the Fuel Regulator
* -10an fuel return line from fuel regulator to the tank

I know some people will call me crazy now ... to have 3 x -10an PTFE lines coming from the Tank to the front . Not even a semi truck have such big fuel lines .
Alpha of Induction performance, a well known Supra tuner, made 1350rwhp on a -10an fuel line . Not sure though if that was on race gas or E85. Corn fuel needs more volume actually so all the more I need bigger lines if ever. Am aiming for +1500rwhp on E85 that is why I will be having 2 x -10an fuel feeds so I have a lot of room to spare. One feed for each fuel rail and other end of each fuel rail goes to either side of the Weldon 2047 Fuel Regulator so both fuel rail are like being supplied by both -10 feed lines and are both controlled by one FPR. One -10an fuel line will be fed by the 3 denso pumps and the other -10an fuel line will be fed by the Weldon 2345a. Both lines will have a one way check valve so fuel isn't going back into the tank if one line is not being fed because its pump is offline. Pumps will be online only when needed . Most of the time it will only be one Denso pump online since that is enough to get me into 350rwhp even on E85.
So why a -10an return line ? Weldon recommends a -10an return line for their 2345a pump and on top of that I have 3 other Denso pumps for the other feed line so a -10an return warrants it so you have no restriction on the return that can skew your fuel regulation . I remember alpha saying that he could hardly maintain 45-48 psi on the regulator with a -6an return on the Weldon 2345a. I just want to cover all possible problems.
Indeed it will be an overkill fuel system but better be safe than sorry . The power plant am installing on the Black Pearl will cost quite a few so I can't afford to cheap out on smaller things and be sorry like getting lean or not having enough fuel to power it up
As Ali said ... looks like I will be computing more on the gallons per mile eventually with those 12 injectors at more than 3400cc
I am done with one of the -10an line ... I just did some measurements so I can cut the PTFE line and install the fittings for the other two -10an lines.\

Experience usually teaches us a lot of lessons more than what we read from books or the net. On my Red Mamba One , my Weldon 2345a fuel pump setup is on the passenger side of the trunk. Being on that side , there were a lot of unneccessary bends on the fuel lines. Such bends can create pressure drops. But being a very powerful pump , the pressure drops were negligible but still there was.
So on this Black Pearl , my fuel setup will be on the driver side of the trunk. Will have to find a better way of mounting the fuel setup and my nitrous bottles so I can get into the tire reserve area easily . This will be the way how they will be setup up in my trunk....
The feed lines from the tank .. the -12an for the Weldon 2345a and the 3 x -6an line from each Denso pump.
Those 2 x -10 an fittings out of the filters will have a -10an line each straight forward / downwards going to the engine bay. But in between those filter ends and the fuel lines , I will insert a fuel one way check valve . So let us say , the Weldon pump isn't running or only the Weldon pump is running and non of the Denso pump is online , fuel wouldn't be going back to the tank through the other line. With regards the Denso pumps , they have their own internal check valve , so if only one Denso Pump is supplying fuel on the Magnafuel Fuel Log , fuel doesn't go back to the tank through the other Denson pump / lines. Well I guess , technically then , I only need one fuel check valve for the Weldon feed line. The Denso pumps feed line doesn't need any because of the internal check valve of the Denso pumps. When I got this car , they already had a hole just behind the back seat going down under the car . So I will use that hole to route my 3 x -10an lines. Such setup will have less bends from the supply to the engine.
Not a lot of people are like us who loves the Lexus SC. Saying that you have a 1 of 120 SC300 doesn't even mean a thing to many . Who cares is what probably they will say especially putting it side by side a Supra MKIV. But with the ultimate street car setup I am putting on this 1 of 120 SC300 , hopefully , it will turn more heads and wouldn't be looked down much when it is beside a MKIV , GTR or even a Lambo. But knowing that our SCs , having a very low or cheap price to start with , will never fare well in the eyes of the majority when they see a MKIV , GTR or especially a Lambo . But that's exactly what I want building this car forward .....being able to surprise many ,who spent tons of money on their newer and more expensive cars, and hurting their ego just because they couldn't cope up with a raggedy old cheap sleeper car .

Eldon - yeap , trying to top what I have on my MKIVs .
Was trying to find a place for my Weldon 14000 controller and Kennel Boost-A-Pump. I will just set them up right beside the Weldon pump and filters . I just need to think of a way I will hold them in their place better considering that the Weldon Pump at kill mode will be having a lot of vibration and noise though at that power level and speed ... dang exhaust will be drowning all that pump noise.
