2jzGTE SCs - The Siblings of my Supra MKIV Toys

Reyke - yeah I thought of an FRS but as Ali said , when you have a lot of power and you got a very light body , stability maybe an issue. Having light bodies might be good for those doing drag racing but am not into it.
Ali - you said it right . NY and Cali are good places to visit but cost of living are so high that you have to work day in day out . I am not living again in a place where there is snow every year .. .... going to work with 12 inch of snow ??? , cleaning up , you can't enjoy your performance car for 3 or 4 months , etc... heck no !!!
Georgia do not have the nasty winter of the North. It doesn't really have the tornadoes of the Mid-West nor the Hurricanes of the Gulf States. Weather wise , it has one of the best in the country !

Europe hands down, a completely different culture within a couple hours drive from any location over there.
Gerrb, those colors make me think marine engine application.
As for the swap in a different chassis it doesn't have to be crazy just different, I've owned 240's, mustangs, and other cars and since I've been playing with the 2jz it just seems very versatile it may be a fairly long engine but it's narrow.
As for places to live, I love south Virginia (seven cities), we're lucky to get two weeks of snow just enough to enjoy it and goes away before you can get sick of it.

the engine bay is black so I just thought it would be the best combo and clean looking while I run the stock 2jzgte / 6 speed combo . That red won't be seen much unless you are on the passenger side of the engine bay . The cast aluminum look of the turbo pipings and intake manifold will be on top. The coil cover will be shiny black and the cam covers will be wrinkle black.
I am tired wrenching so swap on another car will be far fetch . Hard to say never again but I believe for now this 1997 SC300 5speed will be my last project (well till I get the stroker setup installed) . I just need to enjoy my toys from now on instead of being busy with a project .

after having cleaned the intake and exhaust ports on the head , started putting it back all together so I can have the engine / trans all mated before Thanksgiving. Got to paint the valve cover wrinkle black and the coil cover shiny black today. Then work on the harness so I can drop the drive train into the 97 Black Pearl before Christmas Holidays. It will be my Christmas gift to myself.. hahaha.. my 8th and final 2jzgte car running ... Black Pearl with a stock 2jzgte / 6 speed drive train. Well kinda ,got to save for the stroker motor from RealStreet for this car , then I can say I have done 1 of the 120 1997 SC300 5speed right ! I wonder if there is even an original 1997 SC300 5speed with a 2jzgte / 6speed V160 right now either stock or built .

I dont think I have heard of a gte v160 on an original 97 5spd car. for that matter there might not even be a gte swapped one but who knows there could be a few floating around, but not likely in the condition that one looks to be in. That would make a very nice Christmas present but I dunno if you can fit it down a chimney

My wrinkle painted Valve Covers and Black Coil cover seem to have come out good .

Then sell everything else you don't need to get back part of what you spent and you got yourself a 2jzgte 5 speed SC .. way to go ! Seriously , if you had passed on that deal , I wouldn't have mind traveling 700 miles to pick it up . It was all worth it buddy no matter how I do the math .
