2jzGTE SCs - The Siblings of my Supra MKIV Toys

Performance parts for the 1uz are fewer and more expensive. No doubt you can get high HP on on these 1uzfe / 2uzfe / 3uzfe but you will spend tons of money. So , let him stay with the 1uz powerplant . He probably have tons of money to burn.
I dont have much to burn so I will go for something that can give me the power I need without breaking my wallet. At the end of the day, as it has been proven, you dont even have to open the long block of a 2jzgte and can squeeze out 900rwhp out of them. A lot of supra mkiv have done it. Though of course you cannot keep on pushing +900rwhp from a stock 2jzgte for a long time. Any thing pushed to its limit will soon die for sure.
I will keep the long block stock for now since I am only aiming between 600-700rwhp on this sleeper SC which eventually be my daily beater. At that rwhp level, you are still way below what the stock 2jzgte longblock can actually handle.

I dunno about aftermarket twins, except of course for the sake of saying you have them. CFM is CFM, and a pair of turbos or one turbo with the same overall capacity will spool the same and perform the same. You'll just have twice the plumbing, expense, and extra piping for the joy of having twins.
Then again, since it's your third 2JZ car you might a well do something to mix it up!

Well, welcome to the community. I have talked to you before. You actually sent me the picture of your MKIV in the driveway before. I also remember you are from GA. GL with the build and whatever you decide on. Maybe a 1JZ single? Sounds familiar doesnt it?

It is just for the sake of having aftermarket twins that is why I was entertaining the idea of having one. It is the setup which I don't have for now . I already have a built single 6 speed . I already have the stock TT auto ...
I have the T3 twins manifold with an HKS wastegate that I had in the past two years that is why I thought of having a twins aftermarket this time... lol ..it is a thought but nothing fixed... just like you said , a lot of work and more expense. ...

Indeed 1jz single sounds very familiar. Infact I had been reading about your swap in the past week before I decided to bring home the SC400...lol ...
I surely am learning a lot of tips and tricks out of it. That is exactly what a good forum is... being able to share one's knowledge and learn from other's experience .
