Honestly I have no idea. They use to have the 5 speed W58 on their supras. Then decided to go into an R154 since both were making around 650rwhp . They said they love it. They simply installed TRD LSD on their pumpkins and they said gearing is perfect . Well I will assume the same thing since those 5 speed NA pumpkins were already there for their W58 5 speed in the first place.

This is how my current built 6 speed single MKIV looks like on the engine bay. Trying to get all the bling and getting all those wires tucked..... but on this sleeper SC I guess I want it all black on the engine bay ...

On the Red Dragon , I will get parts black coated or painted. I want that engine bay all black.

Source out the pumpkin from the 5 speed NA that was paired with a W58 originally or the NA from the 97-98 supra .. they have the 4.083 gear ratio.... the 93-96 NA supra had the 4.272 gear ratio.

Yes that bling bling engine bay is on my Black Mamba Supra MKIV right now.. trying to tuck in the wires and getting more things polished / chromed... like the 67mm turbo, PS reservoir and other stuff. During winter , I had pump 93 and yesterday I went back to E85 ...

Those pumpkins will not cost you much and easier to find .. maybe $150-$200 .. and a trd lsd is around $850 .. so for $1200 you have a very strong rear end for your R154 .. much better from the original torsen lsd.

The W58 5 speed tranny can't hold much power .. it will more likely break before you can break your current open diff on your SC300. if you are making over 450rwhp that W58 wont last long... .if you dont want the expense of the 6 speed v160 getrag tranny , then go for an R154. For the differential, using the supra 5 speed diff pumpkin with 4.083 gear ratio and installing a TRD LSD will be a good strong rearend.

I am not sure what the gear ratio of your current SC300 5 speed differential, though I believe it will be almost similar to that of the supra mkiv 5 speed since they have same drivetrain (engine/transmission). If that is the case , installing a trd lsd on that pumpkin should work.

A buddy of mine just told me , he might let go of his TRD LSD from his auto tt since he is going into a 6 speed swap. If that materializes, I will get his Auto TRD LSD and sell my Auto TT LSD with 3.76 gear ratio... nothing definite yet. He picked up one of my 6 speed tranny last night.

I always loved to have a BLACK INTERIOR .. today that wish was granted .. I saw a 1997 SC400 for sale and it has a black interior . I bought it just to get the black interior and then eventually sell the car . Car has more than 120k miles, it is a good running car and has minor bender fenders now and are recorded on its history ...as I have checked its Autocheck history before I bought it.

So this black interior is going into my RED DRAGON ,
