Hi all. I live in Puerto Rico and own a 2013 GS350 obsidian black. I want to get it coated, given how soft the paint is. However, I have yet to find a detailer that is familiar with 22ple or OptiCoat, which based on reading this forum are my preferred options. I have found one that details a lot of exotics and he uses CeramicPro. How does this compare to 22ple and Opticoat? Can I trust him to do Opticoat or 22ple given that he seems to be proficient with CeramicPro?

Have you happened to check detailing forums such as Autopia or autogeek?

the product sounds like it does the same thing as most coatings. Permanent until abraded off, increased resistance to scruffs and wash induced marring, dirt shedding etc.

unless you have your heart set on those other products, I'd just go for the Ceramic Pro.

The application is the same with slight nuances for each coating, but if the guy is proficient with application of that coating, he'll be able to figure out a new product pretty quick (i.e. if you were to give him 22ple and ask him to apply it instead)

22ple and OC2.0 are much easier to apply than CeramicPro based on what I have heard from many people who have sampled the CeramicPro.

Thanks for the replies guys! I think I'll go with ceramic pro. I'll get him to take pics before, during and after the process. I'll post them soon. Again many thanks! This forum would not be half as valuable if not for the contribution of guys like you. Thanks!
