Toyota RED coolant dried out spray
I have spray marks of dried out coolant (after doing thermostat replacement) in the engine bay on hoses and cam-gear cover.
I have tried the following with no-success:
Wipe down with wd40
wipe down with simple green
While the thing is wet, the red-white stains go away, but when it dries the spots come back.

Try either prep solvent, 3M General Adhesive Remover, or something like Mineral Spirits.
When I got my GS430 years ago, it has alot of coolant stains on the upper radiator hose....looks NASTY. I got some prep solvent, wiped it down a few times, than added a typical plastic/rubber dressing on it (heck even tire shine would work). And to this day the hose looks brand new and not a single sign of stains.
Before the prep solvent I tried all purpose cleaners, citrus degreasers, interior cleaners, and nothing even touched the stains.

If that does not work i had coolant all over my engine bay from a leaking water pump. I just used P21s total auto wash. I just sprayed it on and let it soak for 3 or 4 min and washed it off with a strong water stream and no more coolant.
