It's real simple man.... wash it> clay bar with some slick lube>wax. DONE.

Of you really want to get fancy and get drawn into the world of detailing, you'll find out what paint correction is, what polishes, pads, and compounds, are.... and all that jazz. and next thing you know you are spending thousands of dollars on supplies you are rarely gonna use. ask me how I know.

but your car will be the nicest on the block though....

smh...it's a 14 almost 15 year old car....think how you would look if you stayed out in the sun, rain, and snow for 14 years straight.

I suggest you search through this forum and maybe join up on some dedicated detailing forums as you're asking really basic questions that have been covered time and time again.

i would do a wax, clay. get a paint cleaner, then do your sealant/wax. if you're still not happy with that you're gonna have to look into polishes.

Had some issue with my car, but like everyone else said you can either just do your basic Clay and Wax or get your hands on a porter cable and do some polishing passes.

The car's paint doesn't look that bad in the pictures.

You need to clay bar it, polish it with a machine (Flex using Meguiars 105 or 205) and then top it off with a Sealant/Wax.

I doubt you need to wet sand anything, and I would recommend against it.

i will be going at it this weekend anyone suggest a good sealant to protect the paint when am done with the process. will be using meguiars wash and wax car soap+dish liquid mix to strip the old wax. then rinse then wash again, using car wash soap only then clay, polish, wax and finally i guess sealant

You don't need to mix any soap. Do NOT used dish soap on your car.

Wet it down, wash it with your car soap.

Use your clay bar and lube on the car.

You might need to wash again if you have any clay residue left on the car (happens sometimes)

Use an Orbital Paint Correction Buffer (Flex, etc) with a medium polish and medium pad to polish the car. (Be careful of your pin striping...)

Sealants always go on before wax, they are meant to "bond" to the paint. After the Sealent has cured, you may put wax on the car.

Meguairs products are decent if you are limited to buying only what is on the shelf on stores.

Take a look at Optimum products if you want some really amazing stuff.

What gives paint the "pop" is the polishing step.

With those photos, I can't really determine any faded paint. The hood shot has a lot of gloss.

You can use dish soap to strip wax, but it's not something you would do on a regular basis. Since you don't have a machine polisher, you might try this new polisher that attaches to a drill. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...read.php?56799

You asked a lot of questions before about doing someone else's car. Advice was given, and you still didn't clay the car. So I would suggest that you read up on some basics first. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...guiar-s-Online
