Default Connolly Hide Food

Wow! I clean and condition my leather regularly, but I was amazed at how much the Connolly Hide Food softens the leather. It's not as noticable in my GS, but my father's 2003 ES has leather that is much more stiff. The Hide Food softened that right up. Great product.

I don't think that our seats are coated with vinyl. If that was the case, there is no way that the Hide Food would soften the leather because it wouldn't penetrate the vinyl. I can certainly tell you that the leather in the ES is not vinyl coated because it made a huge difference. Typically, it's the cheap leather that is coated with vinyl. Take a look at most any cadillac leather and after 3 or 4 years it's all cracked and nasty. That doesn't happen with Lexus.

Read this thread, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=115497 . Guitarman did some research and found out that the leather is in fact coated with polyurethane.
