Default Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses

I always wanted braided brake hoses for my SC400 - I used to be right into motorcycles and braided hoses always transformed the brakes - superior feel, more power etc.

I fitted some early December and have travelled over 1000 miles so far with them.

Original rubber hoses tend to swell when the brakes are engaged, which results in a spongy brake pedal and increased stopping distance.

The hoses were a straight forward DIY if you know your way around brakes.

The results are great - more brake power, better feel - they are terrific. The novelty of having big brakes hasn't worn off yet - I still look forward to squeezing them approaching corners and getting that big brake stopping force that pulls your face forward.

Stainless Steel Braided Teflon Hoses could very well be the easiest and least expensive way to upgrade a braking system.

All the photos and the whole story can be viewed here:

Pete,
I agree SS brake lines really do improve the petal feel and response. I purchased Goodridge for $110 US they are completely finished with new washer’s etc. They are for a Supra that changed out exactly, no problems.
Keep the information flowing, we all need it.

Hi Peter, long time no talk! Those "secret parts" you hooked me up with look pretty good on my car. Everyone will see them soon enough And OH will they be surpised!

On the Goodrich lines, they are not really a good fit on the car, they don't sit right on the bracket on the car. Unfortunately this is all there really is as far as options (for now), so we have to live with it.

UZZ, please talk to Ethan (Static911) before trying to sell these lines on CL.

I think he's just sharing his experience with us, and not trying to sell a product. Though I can see the makings for a subliminal sales pitch within it.

Besides, they live in Australia and most of us live in the States. The cost to transfer money there is obsurdly outrageous anyway!!

I just like to see the fact that these things are at least available somewhere.

Just my .02 cents .....
