we have decided to replace our LS400 with a 2006 BMW 750Li. It's a CPO and the warranty runs till 09/2011. i m keeping my fingers crossed. hopefully it wont have tooo many problems.
i m looking for a good bmw forum. can anyone recommend one?
You may end up right back on CAR CHAT. IMO, It's hard to beat THIS one.
u r right. this site is hard to beat. but i need certain 750-specific info. i would think a bmw forum can help me more. i browse CAR CHAT regularly....we still have our 02 LS430. i just hope the 750 wont have too many reliability issues.
i have already seen 2 guys from the bimmer forums stating 'the 7 series and reliability dont go in the same sentence'.. not very comforting.
our car is being delivered from CA. we should get it sometime next week. i will post pics.
There is also roadfly.com
They have some pretty smart people on their various forums which include Bimmer, Mercedes, Porsche, and alot more..
You should see about joining the BMW CCA car club. The Roundel Magazine they will send you monthly is one of the best car magazines out there today.
The membership also qualifies you for discounts for parts, and after 1 year membership, for discounts on new vehicles. They are at bmwcca.org
Been a member for going on 9 years now and Bimmers are great vehicles .
Sorry, I didnt see the post for roadfly.com earlier
Here is another good magazine I get - Bimmer at bimmer-mag.com.
They are not associated with BMW as Roundel is, but they offer alot of good info on all models, and every month they take a certain model and do a Market Update, where they list out all the different cars, years of that model, the strengths and weaknesses of each one, go looking for ads for sale, evaluate what they find, and tell you what each model in that group is probably going to be worth.
Their mechanic who does all this research is Mike Miller, who also writes a column in the Roundel magazine for people who need help with their vehicle.
