how to remove tree sap from hood
folks,
what is the best method to safely remove tree sap from the hood?
I used soap and warm water, but there is still some residue on the paint.

LoL, Wash, then after use clay bar.. try meguiars clay bar kit, its under $20 and it includes everything u need..Just dont drop it, once u drop it, u hav to get a new one cuz it picks up rocks, and ur rubbing the clay against ur paint...

with anything in car detailing..... you want to use the least invasive method possible.
As such, try some warm/hot water. Either pour it directly on it, or use a rag w/ over top and allow it to soak in an release the sap. After a few minutes of being warmed up/dissolved the residue will wipe right off. It's worked for me a number of times on both paint work and on my convertible top on another vehicle.
