Default Car pulls to left or right when i brake

When I first got my GS300 awd with the standard 17 inch wheels with all season tires, my car never pulled to the left or right when I am breaking to a stop from 35 ave mph. But when I put on the 18 inch GS430 5 spoke wheels with the ultra high summer performance tires, the car pulls to left or right. I bought this wheels from anohter CL member, but I am going to put all seasons on the wheels since I live in michigan. Do you guys think this problem has to do with high performance tires or the car?? LEt me know.
Thanks

Mine does that also, but mine pulls to the right when i let go the steering wheel while I am coming to a stop. This is with a 18" G-spider wheel with dunlop tires.

did you get an alignment after you switched wheels? You should alway re-align the car after switching wheels for best results.

I'd guess that it's the tires.

In my experience with my previous car, when I went from the stock all season tires to a wider high performance summer tire, I found that the car tended to "tramline" or follow imperfections in the road that I previously didn't notice. If there are ruts in the pavement or if the surface is not level, then this may be what you are feeling.

Is is consistently left or right on the same stretch of road?

This article explains it:

Default Thanks!

Thanks guys for the great info!!

I knew I had to get an all wheel alignment done, and that the low profile tires were the problem. Not to worry, I was going to get rid of the summer tires anyways since I am getting all season high performance tires for the winter weather here. The tirerack info was so helpful, thank you!

Lexus steering can be touchy (though I like it) and down here with roads in Mexico City, the street can tip one way or the other and the wheel can be off just a bit. However, when I get back to my apartment building, the wheel is straight and no issues. Only other time I have seen this issue with braking is with my cousin's Golf VR6, and we ended up having to remachine his rotors and then no issue.
