I've been reading a lot on this forum and others about intakes, exhausts, filters, dyno's, etc. I can to the conclusion I was gonna get a Joe Z intake. I have read mixed results (most recently in conjunction with the Blitz filter).
My question is...should I still get one? Is it worth the 100 bucks. I think I want one. Convince me either way.
Thanks.
The intake is impossible to get because it is alwasy sold out.
Why dont you guys try making your own? Isnt it basically a 45 Degree bent aluminum pipe cut to length to connect from the TB to stock airbox? Just Drill a hole on pipe to weld in the nipple to connect the tubing?

because one can make 100 dollars at work much faster than locating aluminum tubing, a mandrel bender, aluminum welding supplies, annodizing equipment and other hassles to do something like this
Got the intake and put it on. So far so good. Throttle response does seem better. One question, should you drive it around with ECT power mode or not. I have 350 miles on the car.
I just got the JOE Z intake. Throttle response was really good. I pushed it to around 7k RPM with ECT PWR On. Everything was smoooth as can be. LOVE IT!!! I have about 1400 Miles on mines so doing it once wont kill the engine. Not sure about yours stevejenn1 since 350 miles is a bit too low.
BTW Got the brilliant Silver with black sleeves. Looks awesome and has a 99% stock look to it.
