Noisy car
Hello!
My car becomes very noisy from 25 mph and up. The faster I go, the noisier it is. At least I know it's not from the engine. What would make a lexus roar like a big truck in the cabin?
Thank you!

Yes, I have awd. Tires are almost new, less then 5000 miles. Will check the bearings, but, would bad trans axle fluid cause this? A friend said it sounds like the transmission is working hard, like asking to shift, although it's automatic. That's the sound.

Could even be if you have off-road tyres on the vehicle.
My 07 RX350 is usually nice n quiet, even with Yokohama Parada Spec X tyres (which are not off-road tyres).
However, it sometimes is pretty annoyingly noisy when driving in the opposite direction on the same road on which it was quiet (at same speed too!)
A mystery I haven't solved in 4 years of owning it.

Thanks for your input. However, I do not think it is the tires, as I am using the same tires for somke time now and it was not noisy before.

Note: the shop guy said they used 3 litres of differential fluid, when the manual states to use 0,9. Is there space to put more? Is it ok to do that?

Ok, I have a bad wheel bearing. Will change that and see if it solves all the noise. Turning the steering wheel left and right, left and right helped.
Question: is there any reputable source selling rear hubs cheaper than sewell that ships to Africa?
