Lost Wheel lock, what to do?
If you lost your McGard lock key, what would you do?
What are the options? I am sure somebody has gone through this.
After I left my car for service for the brake recall, the lock key was missing. I am checking with the dealer now but if he says NADA, then what?

I am sure they bled the brakes after the replacement of the master seal, right?

No, I don't play soccer!
mandy, the lock come with a key code. Dealer has a master like RX330inFL said. But to save time and aggravation, I'd have them remove the ones you have now and replace with new ones so you have a key. I'd give you my spare set if you lived closer

You should have McGard paperwork in with your owners manual. It should be in that portfolio. It will give you a key code. Usually a 2 or 3 digit code or color code. It will tell you which key you need. If not, you can go to the dealer and have them match it up. They should sell the keys there, I know we do. There are 10 different designs and they are random.

I was able to remove 2 by using another key (very similar but NO, I kinda stripped it). Now I have messed up the other key...what was I thinking?
Just like the wife says...I really thought you were a smart guy...

I was so pissed at myself last night...for not chilling and waiting if the dealer had it. Instead used the other Lexus key (which appeared to be the same, it slid in perfectly, lo and behold, there's draft...so it freeking slipped and ruined the good key)...stupid move!!

I have the pics taken. I am ready to email it to McGard. I did not purchase these originally. Ones that I did, I have a serial number that I can call in and get either locks or keys.
Why put locks opn these rims anyway!

Just put regular nuts on them and forget it. I've had my "locking" nuts stolen twice now because all the kiddies have a complete set of keys and steal just deez nuts to sell. It's really no deterrent to theft anymore.
