It looks and sounds great, that's pretty much it! The only performance gain you're gonna get from an axle back exhaust is probably weight reduction.

From over 100 threads started about exhaust and 1000 replys, I realized for the GS its all about the sound and looks.

Good sound. NOT too much.
If you want not loud exhaust - it's the right choise.

Not loud. I enjoy daily ride. Very like how it sounds between 1500-2500 rpm!

Is the sound similar to a G35 coupe?

I also have a question regarding exhausts.

Tanabe Medalion Touring Dual Exhaust http://www.hopupracing.com/tametoduexle.html
Megan Racing Lexus Mid Pipes http://www.hopupracing.com/rpsspclni30.html

Do I need to buy both? It sounds to me like the Tanabe part is just 1/2 of the exhaust and the Megan Racing Mid Pipes is the other 1/2. o_O

tanabe is axle back, so it's just the rear part, not cat back. if you want you can change the midpipe as well (likely more sound, i doubt any significant hp increase)

you don't need both

So if I just want my GS to sound more powerful, then just get the Megan Mid Pipes? Skip out on the Tanabe for now?

My opinion differs from all of those posted already. I removed mine and sold it to put the stock one back on! Couldn't stand the terrible drone and exhausts on an automatic vehicle, IMO, just sounds funny. Now I'm loving the quiet nature of the car.

To each their own!

Haha, well my car sounds kind of weak sauce, so I wanted to get exhausts for it. I know it doesn't gain power or much at all, but which thing should I order?

TWong1200, you mean Tanabe is loud exhaust ?

As far as I know Tanabe is one the quietest exhaust. Even quieter then F-Sport. I thought it would be much louder, but it sounds perfect. Not quiet, not loud, just what I needed.
