Default Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings HELP!

So the car is in the shop right now and it is apparently in need of rear lower control arm bushings. The P.O. gave me what he said were the proper bushings but they are not.

The mechanic tells me that Lexus does not sell just the bushings and the cost for the whole control arm is outrageous. Can someone help me with some information on where to find one? I have searched the forum, but no one seems to be talking specifically about the rear lower control arm bushings...

I have found some online but am not sure whether they are for the front or back lower control arm...

Thank you for your help in advance!

Your profile says you have a 93 SC400, not an LS400... Assuming you have a LS, take a look at this thread, it should provide you with all the info you need...

thanks for that! I have actually read that thread but am unsure what part in the drawing is what i am looking for or where to get them from... I really don't want to have to buy a whole new lower control arm

If the arm you need is #10 in the attached picture, then you need to purchase aftermarket polyurethane bushings called ADUS 583... The 583 kit comes with bushings for each end of arm #10. If the part you need is #9, which technically isn't a lower control arm, but called a strut rod, you need to purchase ADUS 505 bushings... The 505 kit comes only with the bushing that connects from the end of #9 to the base of #2...

Thanks so much for the pictures and diagram. I called napa and the guy there could find no record for a lower control arm bushing, also I had lower control arm bushings from toyota, but apparently they are not the right parts either... The mech at Canadian Tire said that one place was showing a part number and that they would look into it on Monday, if not he said he would find something and make it fit for me...

hmmm...
