Can you buy the ball joint separately or do you have to replace the whole control arm?
Is the SC400 one intererchangeable with anything else? Same as Supra NA or the SC300? I need to replace my lower control arm ball joint on a 92 SC 400 and trying to work out the cheapest way...
^^^^ Me neather & I also need to replace my driver side. I just shot a bunch of Maxim Chain Wax for dirt bikes, No noise in 4mo. Its not that funny. Quit laughing.
lol you have almost 10000 posts and have not ever seen this topic pop up? I know I have seen at least 50 of these theads since I have been here haha. Anyways.
non interchangable... you can use ANY SC300/400/MK4 (na or tt) LCA. All the same, except for later MK4 (I think 97+) are aluminum, so they are lighter.

In nearly 10,000 posts I could count on my hand the number of times I have been to the suspension/brakes section. I did search though and of all the threads I read I didn't see a definitive answer on this. I did see on SF people talking about just replacing the ball joint. Hence my 2-part question here.
But thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Regards,
Jonny

When I look online, it offers just the 95-96 LCA. It doesn't show that it differs between the TT and NA though? Does it matter?
Thanks,
Jonny
Nah it doesn't matter actually. They are the same. Like RedPhoenix stated, the 97-98 Supra came with aluminum arms and are more expensive than the previous years.
Edit: The 97-00 SC arms are actually cheaper than the 92-96 SC arms.

MY 98sc400 doesnt have aluminum LCA's. I dont know about the 97-00 SC part. If the 97-98 supra LCA is aluminum, then I want to upgrade to those.
