So, I'm pretty new here. I've come from modding a Ford Escort ZX2 as my first modding experience. I know you're probably thinking, this is just some wannabe that knows nothing about cars and is going to ruin a perfectly good Lexus. But that's not the case. I've leaned a lot working on that Escort. I've gone from knowing how to change oil and that was about it, to the wonderful world of modding a car. I've done all the work my own as that is how I learn best. You can look up the build log on that escort here: http://teamzx2.com/showthread.php?16639-My-Turbo-d-ZX2
Otherwise, on to my new adventure.
Picking up the car
I left at around 7:30am on Saturday morning. Setting up my cockpit with my GPS, Phone, and Monster Energy.
I drove through the day and arrived in Kansas at about 4:30, where my car awaited me. Driving was boring, let me tell you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIzRlK055eE

After loading up the car and meeting the car's care taker, I departed to head back at about 7:00pm. I stopped at the gas station just down the road to adjust any movement in the straps.
I didn't want my new baby running away on me.
I soon left the gas station and began my journey into the darkness. I drove through the night.
Along the way I encountered many species. As I try to describe these, keep in mind that sleep can babbled the words right from your mouth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSLOuqj6bmw

I stopped many times to check and recheck the straps on the trailer. At around 12:30, I pulled into a rest stop.
I brought bedding with me and made camp in the back of the truck for the night.
After I awoke with 6 hours of sleep behind me, I briefly washed my face within the outpost and applied my corrective lenses to my eyes.
I then, once able to see again, proceeded to drive the rest of the way home.
looks like you got a good base, gotta admit when i saw the zx2 stuff, i was scared, but you definitely know what youre doing, gl with it, im sure it will turn out great
this thread definetly took me about 15 minutes to get to the bottom of haha! sounds like an awesome plan. the hyundai rims are kinda funny. not as funny as the pontiac with underglow. i loved the documentary though it was well worth reading
A couple of you have been asking about plans for the car. Currently I'm looking for a 2JZ GTE engine, W58 5sp Trans and the other essentials. In the next day or two I'm going to pull out the dash of the car. I have to clean up and replace the wiring. since I'm going to be doing a 2jz, I will have to completely replace the wiring harness. While the dash is out, I will be looking into replacing the cold cathode back lighting as well as hopefully dyeing the dash black.
Future plans hold a Boosted GTE. I'll be moving the battery to the trunk. I would also like to build up the block. The car is going to be re painted black. I'm toying with the Idea of doing a dark blue paint for the engine bay. Something like a midnight blue or subaru blue. There will be a full black interior swap. (or paint/dye) I'm going to be doing an in car PC as well. The PC will act as my media as well as tuning and probably Zetronix like software. I will do a sound system. (Nothing too big or fancy, just quality replacement speakers and amp)
This is just my though process as of now. Suggestions are appreciated.

Those are my friends old rims that I borrowed to bring the car home on.
