Default Lexus smart card for any Lexus with SmartAccess (keyless operation)

I sold my '06 IS350, so now I need to sell my beloved Smart Card. If interested, I'll sell it for $140 shipped. BTW, it is in perfect shape.

Interested....

How easy is it to set the card? Do you have to go to the dealer?

Yes, the dealer has to do it, just like if you get a new FOB

It's TOTALLY worth it though! I LOVED not having to carry any keys or FOB's in my pocket! I just slipped it into my wallet, and dispensed of everything else. Now that I have a car that requires a key and FOB, I'm having a really hard time adjusting.

Every dealer will want different amounts for it depending on their asswholic factor, but mine was done for free.

The key would be vehicle specific, so there was no compatible key that would work for my IS350.

I already have one with an uncut key (just because I didn't like the gap) but I'm tempted to pick this one up...

Let me see if I can get it programmed free. If so, maybe I'll pick it up anyways. Just curious, have you ever switched the battery in it? I had to switch my original battery after about 6 months. Hoping the second one will last longer...

The battery was replaced by the dealer some time back when I took it in for the fuel pipe replacement.

If you are in the DFW area, send Carchitect a PM. He is a master mechanic at Park Place near DFW airport.
