Controversial styling, but personally I think it looks mean as heck, muscular, and doesn't have the family/feminine look of the RX, and makes the 1st Gen FX look outdated). The side vents need to go.
Other than the strange looks (to some), great performance for such a large SUV, puts most other performance SUVs around the price range to shame. Interior is refined and beautiful. Shiploads of amenities and gadgets, the optional around-view monitor is extremely useful for large SUVs.
It's actually on my list for a possible next car by the end of the year.

They happen to be all SUV's.
The FX - my uncle has a FX50 and I think its freakin awesome.
The X6 - my brother made me like it. ITs about 3in away from being perfect (ride height)
The Cayenne - getting a 6-speed manual in a huge SUV is very attractive.
And yet, they are all UGLY AS SIN!!

And in what way does it not do the car justice? Many former STI fans are put off by the styling of the new hatchback, particularly the rear end. The new model does not seem to be selling as well as the previous one did.

I think this is one of the coolest cars I have driven. I drove it down the sunset strip after a party and I feel like I was getting looks and thumbs up like I was in a Benz. Unique is still cool, ugly or not.
