god damn that car is sick, the conversion was crazy. But if it's not to personal, beside being a fun project wouldnt it have been easier to just buy a newer LS?
i want to know too. make them light up is easy. for me the hardest part is to get the steering wheel to work with the lights. but if the op got the whole front clip i guess he can swap everything.
still waiting for him to let us know, because the protector can be move left and right by hand. if he didn't make it work with the steering i want to know what mods need to make the protector don't move.
All I did was make it simple and just made the light, light up. (adjusted it the level and height I wanted it) I didn't do anything speical to it. And it just sits there, it doesn't swivel left or right w/ the steering wheel.

cool. i remember i change my to the philips hid bulb the thing moves around just like the newer gs and is with hid.
so once you set it they don't move while you drive?

When I did the conversion the 01-03 headlight leveler plug is diff. from the 04-06.
The 01-03 model had 5 wires, so I thought at first I was just gonna cut and splice it off and just switch the connector. But I found out that the 04-06 has only 4 wires. So what I did was left it unplugged. But when I started the car it threw a code "headlight leveling". So what I did was take the headlight sensor out of my old 01-03 headlight and plugged it in the 04-06 headlight, and left it hanging out. ( so now I don't throw a code ). Hope that makes sense.

right but that is not my question though...what i am saying is the protector free play inside the housing, since you said you didn't do any mods inside. when you drive your car around did it move around or stay okay?
jun, you can switch out the motor and put your 01-03 motor inside the new headlight. This way the autolevel will still be fully functional. The projector can move left and right on the AFS motor but it does have some resistance so i dont think you will need to worry about it moving on you by just driving the car.

I thought of that, but the headlight sensor leveler on the 01-03 is alot bigger than the 04-06. So it won't fit in the whole of the 04-06....unless you have done it before? Let me know...
