AC does not work,no pressure on the low side gauge
my ac system only blows hot but no cold air. today i borrowed a Ac recharger with high and low gauges and hooked it up with both high and low side ports on my car. after i turn on the car with the ac on, the gauge on the left shown no pressure at all but the high gauge on the right shown "300".the car looks had a lot freon in it which don't need recharge. i asked some guys in a shop and they said there are two things to cause this problem, one my ac compressor is bad or i have a clogged ac system. anybody had same problems on their 2gen es300? ihelp!

Could be your expansion valve. What year is your car and what system is it? If the gauge readings were high on the low side and low on the high side, and the compressor is noisy then yea no good. Its probably ok.

car is 94 es300,the gauge readings were low side which on the left side if you open and face the hood and headlights, the high side that i conntected on the right side which by the Left headlight area.
i also have done some researchs on the site, do you guys think that EXPANSION VALVE should be the problem? but it seems if is the valve then the ac should works for a while after you turn on the ac, my car just doesn't work at all.

I happen to know a lot about a/c. I will take the time to go through this with ya if you want . first of all, who is it that lent you the gauges, but won't even talk to you to help you?
secondly, what is the pressure on the low side and the high side when the system is in equilibrium [after sitting for over an hour with hood up]?
how hot is it outside? humidity too if you can when you did this?

i changed dryer, took off the ac compressor and try to move the pulley by hand and feel a lot pressure from the compressor hose. put everything back try to charge the ac again and the gauges still show negative pressure on the left and very very high on the right.
