I'm still confused.
Mainly cause I haven't researched enough.
If all I'm doing is adding an aftermarket sub to my stock speakers/stock nav unit do I really need this?
or is this for those guys that are chasing SQL and plan on upgrading all their speakers not just subs?
Sorry for the newb questions.
At least this is a bump for you.

if all you are looking to do is upgrade to an aftermarket sub, then no, this is not necessary. ALTHOUGH, the signal you are tapping into with your standard LOC will not be a "full" low signal. as you stated, this is for those are who are interested in SQ and upgrading all their speakers and not just their subs.

they are stealth'ed into my panels so i would have to take it apart in order to get pix, but rest assured, it is in pretty much brand new condition. like i said, they are still in the original plastic wrap/sticker. i'll try to get some pix later when i can. for now, if you want to see what it looks like, just follow the link in the original post.

i do not believe so. not many units are able to do that without having multiple large processors(being that the 2IS audio system has 8 channels; especially in this price range). once all the wires are hooked up, you simply calibrate, and the processor will flatten out a full signal. any type of active crossovers can be adjusted according to your amp preferences. not sure if i answered your questions. feel free to pm me if you have any other questions

Bummer.. My amps don't have crossovers so I was looking for a processor with it.

I guess I'll stick with the Bit.one

you could always get this, then run components with crossovers
