why not take off the stock ones, sand them down and spray paint can them?

i did it a couple times and it always came out great. its pretty simple and makes the car look way better.

where do u get sand paper to sand it down and 3m tape? wat kind of 3m tape is it to put them back on?

you can get sand paper anywhere. you just sand it down a little bit to help get the paint to stick better. heres some steps:

1. i use blue painters tape to make a straight line under the symbol so i know where to put the emblem back.

2. use a blow dryer or heat gun to get the previous glue sticky to help emblems come off.( i dont think the front/rear "L" emblems need this step, they should pop off with a flat head or are held on by clips.)

3. lightly scuff the emblems with sand paper so the paint sticks well. And scarpe off old glue with puddy knife or a flat head.

4. prime if you want first or paint. any paint should be good, krylon fusion is a good spray paint. i'd do atleast 3 coats. and let dry.

5. put clear adhesive on the back of the emblems and re-install. i usualy put a piece of painters tape over the emblem to help it hold to the body while it dries.

6. enjoy

what kind of adhesive works the best...

any kind is fine, just go to a parts store and look for clear silicone adhesive. it'll come in a tube like toothpaste.

is that better than to use the tape? doesnt the dealership use tape?

ive seen double sided tape on lip kit, but not emblems.
