i still have one big question regarding the steering wheel. the steering wheel is off a gs300? coz' there is no gs400 for 01 body style and gs430 doesn't come with e shift

trying my best to confirm on the steering wheel style, 98-00 is different from 01+ #_#

My understanding is that 01+ steering wheels have a slightly different airbag shape, so your pre 01 airbag doesn't quite fit this steering wheel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

that's correct, 98-00 steering wheel has different shape from 01+. i actually have been talking to the seller (great guy!), and he said it's off a 2001 gs400. that's why i am confused

The wheel is off of a 2001+ GS300.

The wheel looks just like mineand I have a2001 gs3.

Let me clear up the confusion. I have a 98 Gs400 and I purchased a 01 wheel wth the Tip-tronic buttons Becaused it has a meshed hand grip area.I later realized that the airbag on my Gs4 98 is much bigger than the 01`s airbag which is smaller in size and shape.

I`m convinced that it for a 01./..however, I don`t know if the Gs300 01 came with a tip-tronic.


So there you have...call me if anything.

ah thanks for the clarification andre, now that means it is a 01 gs3 wheel for sure then. man, reall get me thinking who has a 01 rx300 airbag? also just to confirm, this is the grey steering wheel not tan? i asked coz' from the pic it looks like the one for the tan color too (the dash color on the tan is darker than the leather)
