i have a small circular dent with a diameter of maybe 2 inches on my front passenger door near the fender. I was wondering if anyone can vouch for the technique of dent removal by heating the area with a blow drier for a minute and then spraying an air duster upside down on the area for about 10 seconds. (Flipping it upside down emits liquid carbon dioxide which is really cold).

-17k worth of road debris
-rim rash on front left/right rims (thanks to my dear parents using my 2is as a loaner)
-scratches on front chin (stupid concrete parking lot stops)
-couple of nasty scratches on the driver's lumbar support section
if/when i do get my front bumper repainted, i'm throwing a clear bra on it. would've done it had i known about it earlier.
The timing on this thread is amazing. Yesterday while parked, somebody did a hit-n-run on my front driver-side fender. The impression is about the size of a half dollar, but they took off some paint in the process, and also scuffed my wheel.
With GFM paint and 14k miles with great care, this is extremely annoying. Worst part is, its a well lit area, and GFM is an easy color to spot...I have no clue how they managed to hit my vehicle.
hahah I just scrapped the **** out of my front lip this weekend. Eibach+4 people in the car+ft.worth parking curbs = Uh Oh!!! First time I had ever had 4 people in my car . It's ok though, g35tois350 to the rescue. he put on a gfx lip and is selling me his old one!
My wife decide a parking garage support column was in her way one day when leaving and decided that she wanted IT to move and tried to take it out. Really nasty scratch DEEP into the paint on the front right quarter panel, even a slight dent.
Took me about 12 hours, but finally got it good enough to not notice by the casual observer, but it DRIVES me crazy knowing it's there.
Sometimes things are bad, but just not quite bad enough for the body shop to charge a a grand or more to fix it.
Early May '07 -- Parked in Balboa Park (where parking is scarce and tight). Of course, the car to my side dinged my door. Therefore, I spit on the driver side handle.
Late April '07 -- "Enthusiastic parallel parking" caused me not only to go up the curb, but when stopped, the wheel slid down the side of the curb. Nice.
Summer '06 -- While pulling my backpack from the passenger seat to the driver seat, a buckle scraped the wood veneer. Thankfully, ScratchX fixed it.
Spring '06 -- Behind a truck that was carrying debris, a rock flew out and hit my roof. Palpable chip, but since it's on the roof, no one ever sees it.
