Default BAY AREA folks. SUSPENSION HELP NEEDED ASAP!!!

Hello folks. How is the Tein S-tech springs with L-tuned shocks setup? Is it a good drop? How is ride quality compared to stock? ANy pictures?

I have 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear. I am not familiar with Lexus suspension as i am new to Lexus.

Please help me out. i DONT want harsh/firm ride. i RATHER drive 4x4 honestly then harsh because everyone will complain about why a "Lexus" drives like crap rather then smooth like silk.

i did research by the way...... and got 50/50 answers.

Everyone has different opinions on what ride is good or not. In general your set up should be pretty smooth.

Then again I'm runing on 20's, I have 25 series tires out back, and my car is slammed to minus 1 finger gap and I can tell you my ride is surprisingly smooth because of my CS's. You need to be the judge of that by getting an actual ride in my car.

The best way to REALLY know if you will like your set up is to ride in other members cars with the same suspension.

The last cruise meet I believe we had 50 + cars show up.

I have Tein CS v2 on my 2GS and I don't think 20's were my thing. I adjusted the damper softer but it still felt a bit harsh to me. It was probably the fact that I had stretched tires in front. The freeways/highways around here suck. I hate 101, parts of 880, and 87. I recently switched to 18" OEM wheels and 245/40/18 tires and it's much better for me. Everybody has their own definition of "comfortable." I found out that when it comes to looking "cool" vs. comfort, I chose ride quality.

Like Glenn said, the only way to find out is to go to a meet and ride in someone's car who is running that set-up you want, with 20's and go from there.

Thanks for the help. Because im purchasing that setup. Most people that i know have LTuned shocks and springs. Never rode in Ten stech with ltuned. When i sya smooth...im talking about as CLOSE as possible to stock suspension. I dont want the car "hopping" on bumps and harsh bouncy ride. I want it to take bumps as if its stock but just a bit firmer. thats expected when going lowered. With my 20's, the drop should sit perfect with a finger gap. I wanted coilovers but its too much as my weedding is 2 months away.

Eibach springs on the stock shocks offer a slightly firmer ride, although I think Tein CS coils are the closest to stock as far as coils go. But as RMMGS4 said its best to try to ride in someone's car with that setup.

Just a heads-up, someone is selling a similar combo for a great price in the 2GS parts classified section.

I can't think of any GS with 20s will not be firm. Everyone has different standard of stiffness on cars.
