Default HID Retailers

Are there any stores that sell HID's / installation here in the Bay Area? I know I can go through Xenon Depot and buy it through them, but was wondering if I can just purchase it locally.

Thanks in advanced

ASP does it in Daly City. You can order through them and install from them too. But ir costs roughly about $400 I think. But their craftsmenship isn't that great I believe. I went there a few times and the way they install things seem unprofessional. They left marks on my car like they were trying to use a screwdriver to pry out my headlamp. I would personally just buy a HID kit and have someone you know install for you.( heard it was easy) or buy it and have say Mach iii in SF and have them install it. They did my last kit and it was fine. I got my last HID kits pretty cheap from cliffud. You can just PM that name and ask him about it.

I have never been to exact motorsport before, so I cant say much for them. But Mach 3 did do a good job on my car.

Exact is argueably the preferred Lexus Tuner shop. Many of the veteran members have been going there for years.

They know Lexus very well.

Even some dealers are not trusted because they curb our rims or scrape our bodykits.

After 5 years on this forum, I know that finding a business that you can trust with a modded Lexus is a valuable thing.

If you can make the drive to Sacramento, I only let Eclipse touch my car. They do incredible work and treat each car like they own it. I have had quite a bit of work done there on several cars and never had a problem.

Just my 2 cents.

Good Luck in your search and you will never go back to hallogens after driving with HIDs. I am positive of that!

I've had ASP in Daly City install 4 sets of HIDs for me including fogs. They did the kit on my GS300, E55, ML55, and FX45. So far its been great, they do a good job and they do it on time. I dont think they keep it in stock but usually it takes about 3-4 days to get the kit and do the install, they also keep most of the bulbs in stock for parking lights, reverse, and blinkers. I just ordered my Tanabe exhaust from them. Exact does a great job too, I havent been there for the HID install but have heard great things. I used to work for John while in school, over 10 yrs ago, so you know they've been around and know what they're doing. ASP has been around since the mid 90s as well. ASP is a bit closer for me than Exact. If any of you guys need to just order the kit, a buddy of mine who owns a body shop in Burlingame wholesales HID kits to most of the stereo and performance shops around the Bay. Just PM me if you need me to get you a price.
