Swift Racing Technologies (SRT) Intake on 98 SC300
Just wanted to post up a pic of my SC300 with the SRT Intake for a GS300. I searched alot about intake options for VVTi SC's and the possibility of installing a GS/IS 300 version on the car and here is the result:
Installing is pretty much the same as a GS300, ECU wires are different colors but the piggy back included in the package works fine. Heatshield of course was made for the GS300 and the shop that installed it (Mazworx here in Orlando) custom made as seen above.
i'm almost positive you can use the 98 gs400 srt intake on the 98 sc4's. i believe you have to move a reservoir out of the way to make the curve of the intake fit but it's doable.
I have this on my 00 SC4...it does fit albeit with some modifications to the power steering pump reservoir bracket and maybe a few other things - minor tube routing issues really. I also have a custom heat & noise shield.
Highly recommended
i'm pretty familiar w/ the modifaction for the srt intake, it's just that i really dont wanna hack up my power steering resevoir. I'd like to put everything back to stock if i needed to. Thx for the input guys.
iasc300, its a bit decieving from this angle but there is plenty of room and the custom heat shield keeps the intake from moving side to side.
tavarish, the post was merely documentation for anyone in the position I was in when they just wanted to get an intake for their VVTi SC300. I never found any products directly marketed to the 98+ years. I did attempt searches on this forum but there was no definitive answer.
