Minus a couple pictures, technically we here at ClubLexus had photos of the interior first as well as getting to see it started via the Push Start ignition, FIRST!
I'm usually the first to bash the 2006 GS. But this interior is really growing on me bigtime. The normal wood and Ivory interior looks ten times better than the blackwood one flipside posted.
I still don't like the exterior, but the inside is lookin sweet. If they only would have left the optitron gauges.
No, the push button ignition on the dash starts the car. The key fob has a physical key built in it, as well as the keyless entry to unlock/lock doors, trunk release, and of course the panic button.
I've heard yes to the rear sunshade not sure about the sides.
Why is Lexus still offering the cassette tape? Do they still even make those? argh!! Wasted space.
I am really lovin this interor, the shots of the rear seats look so comfortable I can almost smell the Lexus leather and the buttery feel of the seats.
I plan to get the grey interior with the black wood, I think that is hot looking and I like the difference in contrast with the lighter grey seats & the darker grey dash, with the black wood will be awesome. Now just need to pick the outer color.
I'm also wondering what the dash will look like if you choose Not to get the Nav? How would it look without it.
I was exactly thinking the same thiing. This is the version without the Nav. If you compare AS picture with CL you will see that some buttons are missing. It's cool that you will still get the screen.
It also shows us that wooden steering wheel will be an option at least on GS300
