Topless Dreams: Imagining the Lexus RC Convertible

Lexus RC 350 Convertible Front

Now that Lexus has officially revealed its new “RC car”, future variants are being imagined in the form of artist renderings. This Lexus RC 350’s roof has been photo-chopped by Theophilus Chin, automotive manipulator extraordinaire.

If this topless RC is in the cards, expect to see the coupe get a 3.5-liter V6 with 306 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Circulating reports suggest this convertible would be offered with a hybrid powertrain option, but we disagree as far as U.S. market availability is concerned. We wouldn’t rule out an RC 300h convertible for retail outside the United States, but we still think it’s unlikely. On the performance side of speculation, we are praying to the deities of every religion that Lexus builds us an RC F convertible.

Imagine an open-top Lexus grand tourer with roughly 450 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque–sounds like a car made for a god. via [WorldCarFans]
