The Final Piece of the Lexus RC Lineup – RC350 F Sport
The upcoming Lexus RC has been generating a lot of buzz among the industry the past few months. First they announced the regular RC350 showcasing the beautiful new coupe design: proof that it was a car that’s not just an “IS coupe,” but instead a separately developed vehicle.
Lexus followed that with a big focus on performance – the RC F. It’s the third model under the Lexus F line (after IS F and LFA). While its exact performance spec is still a little fuzzy, the aggressive (yet gorgeous) design mated to a promising, naturally-aspirated V8 has captured the attention of many enthusiasts.
Now to complete the family, Lexus has released details middle child: the RC350 F Sport. It won’t be as hard core as the RC F, nor will it be as expensive, but it carries a few enhancements over the regular RC that gives this car a sportier look.
In terms of appearance, the RC F Sport has the “sport version” of the spindle grille much like the IS F Sport. The new 19″ F Sport mesh design wheels enhance the look of the car quite nicely. The dash cluster will get the same treatment as the IS F Sport featuring the LFA inspired ring cluster, while the F Sport exclusive Rioja Red interior completes the look.
While the RC F Sport won’t get a power boost to the drivetrain, the package will include the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) system. Most importantly, customers will have the option to choose the Lexus Dynamic Handling (LHD) system which includes both the Dynamic Rear Steer (DRS) and Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS), both of which should vastly improve the driving dynamics of the vehicle.
With the whole RC lineup arriving as 2015 models, who wouldn’t be excited?
