Goal! NHL’s Blue Jackets Score ‘Lexus Lounge’
Ohio-Based NHL Team Renew Partnership with Local Dealer Germain Lexus, Bringing New ‘Lexus Lounge’ to Sports Fans
As with most sports-team franchises, venues or leagues, sponsors play a crucial role to make the venture viable. Whether it’s through apparel, licensing or “adopting” a stadium, sponsors look to take a piece of the pie sporting events create. In this case, Lexus is doing more than just renewing its sponsorship deal that began in 2008. According to the NHL, they will actually expand it.
The Blue Jacket’s Nationwide Arena is already known for its state-of-the-art facilities, which will be getting an upgrade. Fans will now have access to the newly established “Lexus Lounge.” The high-end dining space is located on an exclusive level of the arena. The lounge will offer attendees a premium chef’s table buffet and private bar. Furthermore, the luxurious facilities will be available before, during and after the game.
“Entitlement to this exclusive lounge offers a unique platform to showcase the Lexus brand and its line of luxury vehicles,” says Cameron Scholvin, Columbus Blue Jackets Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. “We are proud to extend and grow our partnership with Lexus as we look to partner with premier brands such as theirs. We look forward to engaging our fans and Lexus customers as we continue to strive to provide a world-class sports and entertainment experience.”
Finally, as with most vehicle sponsorships, a strategic area of the arena will display multiple Lexus vehicles. Also, various models will drive on the ice rink during intermissions. Lastly, further advertising will take place audibly and visually.
