Lexus LF-CC Concept to Debut in Paris

In just a few weeks, Lexus will be introducing a new concept vehicle called the Lexus LF-CC. LF stands for Lexus Future, but the CC part could easily stand for Concept Coupe. Lexus is continuously moving forward with leading hybrid technology and edgy styling thanks to the addition of the signature spindle grille. Perhaps this concept could be the long awaited SC replacement we've all been longing for?

This two door coupe concept will feature some interesting attributes. First of all its a coupe, FINALLY! It is uncertain if this is a midsize or D Segment coupe as the Lexus Press Release mentions both. Second it is rear wheel drive and lastly it will feature a new high efficiency 2.5L Atkinson Cycle 4 cylinder hybrid motor. With the launch of the LF-LC coupe in Detroit earlier this year and a second coupe concept following it a la LF-CC, we have a strong feeling that a true Lexus coupe will finally satisfy what was lost since the first generation SC 300 & 400.

Although no other official details have surfaced, Lexus will have their press conference at the 2012 Paris Motor Show at 8.45 AM CET on September 27, 2012. The world will be watching!

Jj Griffiths (Tue, 18 Sep 2012 10:26:43 -0700): is there a thought that this could be the new IS in coupe form?
(Thu, 20 Sep 2012 14:23:56 -0700): I'm guessing that Lexus will be using Scion FR-S chassis.
Charles Luzar (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 14:03:19 -0700): Back end is amazing, front end is disgusting. Usually in that situation I just drink until both ends look passable, but in the case of an automobile that is a bad strategy.
Garm Beall (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 14:19:40 -0700): ^ LOL. That gaping mouth could eat a lot of krill.
Nate Schrage (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 14:32:09 -0700): WOW O______________________O ...Lexus wide face...
William Hamilton (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 14:36:48 -0700): No rush, my 1992 SC400 still looks and runs great, so few here in Canada that the styling still gets the full attention, of motorists, and many think is 2012. Can't kill perfection! nice job Lexus! you you nailed the competition, I can only imagine what the next platform will bring. Bring it on, in full pursuit.
Sharon McQuillan (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 15:34:36 -0700): back end looks great-front looks weird.
Wayne Wilder (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 15:46:31 -0700): Front end is aggressive; reminds me of the new Audi's - back end is looks unfinished.
Harry Marks (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 16:05:23 -0700): Looks like an ugly version of a BMW Z car - which I think is ugly to start with. I'm the owner of 2 wonderful Lexus cars. But I think the designers are going off in some bizarre tangents that need to be re-examined. I think the LFA is beautiful but it seems like things are going awry from that point.
Jeff Brewer (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 16:32:34 -0700): Man, Audi really started a design trend with the big grills...
John Provost (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 17:01:53 -0700): I don't like the new "spindle" grill" but this new version (bigger?) is growing on me. The rear and side views have a lot of IS in them. I'd take this over the new GS350-F.
Joe Cindy Brito (Tue, 25 Sep 2012 17:21:57 -0700): Nice John.
Jack Rice (Wed, 26 Sep 2012 00:52:55 -0700): One word comes to mind with this grill: kamikaze. It's not only ugly, it's frankly derivative. And, IMO, suicidal for sales. Hope I'm wrong 'cause I luv Lady L. Just seems like she had plastic surgery that went horribly wrong.
(Wed, 26 Sep 2012 06:05:58 -0700): Vast improvement over SC430, Gawd awful grill, Guess I'll just have to keep my SC400 forever! I sure am glad they made the SC400 so well, it may have to last me a very long time, judging by this.
Anita Hudson Easton (Wed, 26 Sep 2012 07:45:08 -0700): The front grille is fabulous. Big-bold-sexy. Holds its own in a crowd. Sleek lines complete it nicely. There's a little "monster" in all of us, and this is the car that shows it off.
John Provost (Tue, 02 Oct 2012 06:26:10 -0700): How was Florida?
Gary Stark (Mon, 08 Oct 2012 12:43:34 -0700): Do you like the new GS FSport? Careful with your answer -- I have one.
Harry Marks (Mon, 08 Oct 2012 18:30:37 -0700): I like the new GS - I think they did a nice job with it, and it's very impressive in the flesh. I'm not crazy about all of their new spindle grilles and I think that the concept car looks like it's about to swallow small children. As I said, I think that the LFA is the pinnacle of that school of design and the convertible version is fantastic - but they need to re-think a bit. That said, they make beautiful cars - congratulations!
Gary Stark (Fri, 12 Oct 2012 08:39:55 -0700): Definitely agree. The 16-way driver's seat in the GS is worth the entire car to me. I wish I had a chair that comfortable at home.
Frankie Rivera (Tue, 16 Oct 2012 16:01:05 -0700): Gary Stark you have the 2013 gs f?
