Matte Silver Lexus LFA Heads to Vancouver Autoshow
Not too long ago, I spent some energy lamenting my feelings toward matte black as a color. So really, what business do I have here to get back on the soapbox and defame further iterations of clear-coat free paint jobs, especially on the beloved Lexus LFA? Two words: Matte. Silver.
The Open Road Lexus Dealership in Richmond, BC created this project to be displayed at the Vancouver Auto Show. A bit polarizing perhaps, but I’m also a big fan of giving credit when its due.
The high-edit shots look like something out of Gran Turismo. Simply surreal. However, silver seems a bit off as a proper descriptor as the matte paint job seems to take a bronzeish hue in the sunlight. I’m loving the multi-spoke wheels — especially the way the aggressive gold brake calipers peek through the open design. Could definitely lose the red badge though.
To date, still haven’t seen an LFA that I haven’t liked (this one included).
