Lexus Tops Consumer Reports Annual Survey, Again
Not that you’re surprised, but Lexus and Toyota were just named the most reliable car brands in the latest Consumer Reports annual survey. Yep, that makes it four years running.
It’s easy to just chalk this up as just another Lexus customer satisfaction award, but let’s be honest, with over 50,000 subscribers responding to this year’s survey, Consumer Reports is THE customer satisfaction benchmark. Or at least one of them.
The Consumer Reports subscriber survey is also important because it doesn’t just look at past vehicles, but also predicts the reliability of 2017 models as well. And that certainly will help with next year’s sales, particularly Toyota Prius and Lexus CT 200h models, as both those hybrids were dubbed best individual performers.
So yes, let’s all take a second and pat Lexus on the back for a well-deserved and important win. And you deserve a pat too, for you have one very satisfying automobile. Kudos.
Also of note is the third place finisher, Buick. Surprisingly, it’s been 35 years since an American brand cracked the top three. Audi and Kia ended up fourth and fifth.
And the losers? Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, and Ram; all owned by FCA. Ouch.
