Lexus Pulls Ahead of BMW in “Obnoxious One Percenter” Segment
Though they may be allies in the pursuit of a new supercar, BMW can’t be looked at as being anything other than a competitor. And probably the staunchest competitor of the bunch. So it’s always nice to see Lexus creep ahead of their Bavarian foes.
Over at The Reality-Based Community, where “everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts,” writer Harold Pollack informs us that Lexus is indeed beating out BMW in the “obnoxious one percenter” “market segment”. And he offers the picture above as proof.
As you can see, the presumed one-percenter is definitely parked like a jerk-bag. See, the “reality-based” site even created a helpful red arrow to better illustrate the point. And then, as if we needed further evidence about what percentage this guy is in, Pollack also tells us these two prime parking spaces are located in front of his gym, “precisely where an elderly person might have wanted to park going to the cardiac rehab class.”
Seems like solid proof upon which to base an argument about an entire “market segment,” except wouldn’t a little extra walking technically be helpful for cardiac rehab? I’m no doctor. Regardless, we’ll take the accolades and celebrate yet another market share win. I mean, it is BMW, right?
