Elderly Woman Drives Lexus Saloon Into Salon
Some people really need to check a dictionary. Saloon is what the Brits call a four-door sedan. Salon is where you go to get your nails done. This is the kind of thing that can happen when you confuse the two.
Okay, that’s a bad joke, but at least we can make light of the accident pictured here, as no one was seriously hurt. Though the elderly woman who drove her Lexus into Fullerton, California’s Salon Rouge was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. And I’m sure her pride has to be damaged as well.
At just before 9 a.m. yesterday, the woman, identified only as being in her ’80s, drove the Lexus through the salon’s large glass window. The car, presumably a 2nd-Gen GS, made its way all the way through the shop, only stopping after hitting the adjacent wall of the smoke shop next door. The impact sent “several hookahs and bongs” flying, according to The Orange County Register.
Perhaps the most amazing part about this story is that after all the damage, which is readily apparent in the photos below, stylists had customers back in chairs by 10 a.m. See, not even a wild saloon can derail a highly operational salon.
